She ran 26 miles to help fight malaria in Ivory Coast!! |

Gail Kouame successfully
completed her first marathon in 5 hours, 1 minute and 55 seconds and
benefited ICMRT with more than $1,200.00. Gail used this opportunity to
inform and educate others about our organization and our program to help
the fight against malaria in the Ivory Coast. $1,200 will purchase
approximately 171 “Permanets”, long lasting insecticide treated bed nets.
The nets will be distributed to pregnant women and women with young
children. Each net will provide coverage for at least 3 people: mothers
and their young children, so this effort represents assistance to over 500
individuals! |

In order to help control and curve the terrible effect of malaria, ICMRT has
joined the urgent struggle against this disease because we believe we can
"Free Africa from Malaria NOW!" as this year’s Africa Malaria Day slogan
calls for.
